Denver Florists, make up tips, party tips, wedding make up, holiday make up tips, holiday parties

We were going to finsh the segment on exercise today but because it's a holiday and you may be going to a party tonight or tomorrow, we're going to talk about make up today and finish the exercise tips on Friday.

MAKE UP TIPS

Introduction

Find the most flattering lip, eye, and cheek color pairings for your best look. From classic to unexpected, these pretty combos are wedding or party appropriate and makeup artist-approved. Just prep skin with foundation and concealer as needed, follow our easy how tos, and finish with two coats of waterproof mascara. So easy!

Bone Color Eyes + Terracotta Cheeks + Red Lips

This pairing just screams glamour. Start by brushing bone-colored shadow over your lids, then apply blush that’s a shade or two darker than your skin tone. Smooth on lip balm, then fill in lips with a crimson lip liner (this will help the color last). Complete the look with cherry-red lipstick.
Try: Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow in Dunes; Lancome Blush Subtil in Cappucine; Chanel Rouge CoCo lipstick in Paris

Smoky Gray Eyes + Peach Cheeks + Nude Lips

A shimmery gray shadow creates the ideal smoky eye -- soft yet still dramatic. Cover your lid with a pale slate color, then apply a darker one to the eye crease and along your upper lashline as a liner. The finishing touch? “A tangerine blush and nude lipstick are the perfect complement to this sultry look".
Try:  Sephora Collection Colorful Palette in Smoky Black 01; Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Blissful; Tom Ford Lipcolor in Nude Vanille.

Shimmery Beige Eyes + Pink Cheeks + Wine-Stained Lips

“It’s fresh, modern, and not too fussy.” We like to dab lip stain on with his fingers for a just-kissed look. Apply blush to your lips and the apples of your cheeks, then add shimmery beige eye shadow -- or dot eyeliner between your lashes for soft definition.
Try:  Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Longwear Eyeshadow in Emerveille; YSL Creme de Blush in Powdery Rose; Hourglass Cosmetics Aura Sheer Lipstain in Flush

Navy-Lined Eyes + Rosy Cheeks + Shell-Pink Lips

For a chic, unexpected twist on the classic cat eye, use indigo liner. Starting at the inner corner of your eye, trace along your lash line, then flick up the liner when you reach the outer corner. Just don’t make the tail too long. “Short and subtle is more". Pale pink lipstick and dusty rose blush complete the look.
Try:  Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner in Navy Blue; Chanel Powder Blush in Orchid Rose; Bite Luminous Creme Lipstick in Bouquet

Taupe Eyes + Bronzed Cheeks + Cotton Candy Lips

Sweet and simple, this combo creates the ultimate fresh face. Apply shadow from the crease of your lid to the lashline, and keep your bottom lashes bare. “This will make your eyes appear more open and bright". Then apply bronzer along your cheekbones, and brush lips with gloss.
Try:   Becca Cosmetics Eye Colour Powder (Demi-Matt) in Doeskin; Make Up For Ever Sculpting Power in 02; YSL Gloss Pur in Pure Petal.

Ivory Eyes + Coral Cheeks + Bright Pink Lips

Dab on balm, then, for color that lasts, use a lip brush and short strokes to fill your lips in with lipstick. Blot and repeat. Keep the rest of your makeup clean and neutral. “Use almost nothing on the eyes -- just ivory shadow on your lids". For a dewy glow, blend cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks.
Try:   Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Buttercream; Stila Convertible Color in Petunia; Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Shalimar.

Plum Eyes + Raspberry-Stained Cheeks + Glossy Lips

“Pink and purple tones give skin a delicate, romantic flush". Apply a shimmery lilac shadow to the entire lid, then line the upper lashline in an eggplant shade. Dab cheeks and lips with a pink stain -- it provides lasting color -- then top lips with matching gloss.
Try:    Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in Bouquet; Becca Beach Tint in Fig; Maybelline New York Colorsensational Lip Gloss in Pink Perfection.

Copper Eyes + Dewy Cheeks + Apricot Lips

This duo reads warm, beachy, and beautiful. Dust shadow over your entire lid, then smudge a deeper chocolate color along your upper lashline. Blend cream bronzer along your cheeks, hairline, and temples with a sponge, then swirl bright pink blush onto the apples of your cheeks. Finish with a coat of apricot gloss
Try:   Josie Maran Argan Beautiful Nudes Eyeshadow Palette; NARS The Multiple in Laguna; Armour Beauty Lip Gloss in Ann-Margret

Black-Lined Eyes + Sunny Cheeks + Rose Lips

We like to pair a thick band of liner with a soft cheek for an ultra-glamorous look that’s as classic as it gets. Brush on taupe shadow, then use a liner brush to drag gel eyeliner from the inner to the outer corner of your lashline, gradually widening the line as you go. Dust matte bronzer under your cheekbones, and top lips with neutral pink lipstick.
Try:    Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink; Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder; Dior Addict Lipstick in Baby Rose.
